PA-04: administration and installation / 1 day
A course conducted by a qualified instructor, covering practical skills in administering the IBM Planning Analytics server and Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW). IBM Cognos Analytics with Watson
CA-01: Dashboard Essentials / 1 day
Participants will learn about the IBM Cognos Analytics portal, the process of creating and working with dashboards, report scheduling, and data exploration. The training is intended for business users working with the solution.
CA-02: Author Reports Fundamentals / 2 days
Participants will learn the process of report creation, data grouping and sorting, data filtering techniques in reports, creating calculations, and designing an advanced and professional report appearance.
CA-03: Author Reports Advanced / 2 days
During the course, participants will learn advanced techniques for creating, modifying, and distributing reports, including:
- Managing report queries
- Defining drill-throughs
- Distributing report results (organized distribution of reports to multiple recipients)
- Creating multi-page reports
- Nesting data within reports
- Using macros
- Checking and editing SQL queries in reports
CA-04: Framework Manager: Design Metadata Models / 3 days
It is a 3-day course during which participants will learn the basics of metadata modeling in the Framework Manager application. They will become familiar with "best practices" and recommended metadata modeling strategies. The course covers:
- Introduction to sample model structures and metadata modeling techniques
- Basic modeling concepts and standard nomenclature
- Advanced concepts and techniques used in the Framework Manager application to solve reporting-related issues.
CA-05: Enterprise Administration / 1 day
Participants will learn the process of installing and configuring the software, server administration, system architecture, security system implementation, and managing system components.
CA-06: Modeling with Data Modules / 1 day
A one-day course conducted by a qualified instructor, covering the skills needed for independently modeling metadata for reporting and analytics in IBM Cognos Analytics. Topics include creating metadata modules, loading external files, data joining, filtering, and data cleansing. After the training, participants will understand the process of creating and sharing data modules for reporting, analysis, and exploration.
CA-07: active reports / 1 day
A one-day course conducted by a qualified instructor, designed for users creating reports. Participants will learn the process of designing active reports, methods for modeling interactive actions and data visualizations, and techniques for ensuring an attractive presentation of data for management reports and dashboards.
